Verify your email

Confirm your email address from the verification email so you can publish pages, and get a new link if yours has expired.

On this page

When you sign up with an email address and password, GenPage sends you a verification email. You can build pages and finish setup before you verify, but publishing a page needs a verified address.

Before you start

  • Accounts created with Sign up with Google are verified by Google. There is nothing to do.
  • The link in the email works for 72 hours. After that, get a new one as described below.

Verify from the email

  1. Open the email Verify your GenPage email address and click Verify Email. If the button does not work, the same link is printed as text under it: copy it into your browser.

  2. GenPage opens the Email verified page. Click Continue to GenPage to open your workspace (or the sign-in page, if you are not signed in).

An old link opens the This link has expired page instead.

The This link has expired page, which explains that links are valid for 72 hours

To get a fresh link:

  1. Sign in, open a page in the editor and click Publish. GenPage refuses with the message Verify your email address to publish. Check your inbox for the verification link.
  2. Click Resend Email on that message. A new email goes out and GenPage confirms with Verification email sent — check your inbox.
  3. Open the new email and click Verify Email.
