LinkedIn ABM

Run one LinkedIn ad set per target company and let the ad set name send each company to its own personalized page, guided by the LinkedIn ABM page.

This feature is in beta. Screens may differ slightly from what you see here.

On this page

LinkedIn ABM turns a campaign with one page per company into a LinkedIn account-based campaign: you create one ad set per target company in LinkedIn, and the ad set's name decides which company page a click lands on. The page under Campaigns → LinkedIn ABM gives you the list of ad set names, the address to put in your ads, and a checklist before launch. It is in beta and carries a Beta badge in the sidebar.

Before you start

  • You need a campaign whose pages have already been generated. Without one the page reads No Campaigns Yet; a campaign without generated pages reads No Exported Leads. Generating pages is done elsewhere and uses credits; this page never does.
  • Each lead needs a company name. Leads without one are skipped, and the page tells you how many.

Get the ad set names

  1. Open Campaigns → LinkedIn ABM and pick the campaign in the selector at the top left. The Ad Sets table lists every company with its Ad Set Name and the page it maps to; the copy icon copies the name. Search companies… filters the list, and Download CSV exports company, ad set name and page address.

Set up in LinkedIn

  1. Follow the three steps in the Set Up in LinkedIn panel:

    • Point every ad at this URL: copy the destination address and use it as the landing page of every ad in the campaign.
    • Add the tracking parameter: copy the parameter and paste it once into the ad's URL tracking parameters field. LinkedIn fills in the ad set name at click time.
    • Create one ad set per company: name each ad set exactly as its Ad Set Name in the table and target only that company. You can duplicate an ad set, rename it and swap the targeting; the landing page follows automatically.
Set Up in LinkedIn panel with the three steps, the Fallback field and the Before Launch checklist
  2. Under Fallback, optionally enter where visitors should land when the ad set name does not match a company (shared links, stripped parameters, clustered accounts) and click Save. Leave it blank to use the campaign page.

Before launch

The Before Launch checklist shows what is still open:

  • Campaign published: until the page is published in the editor, the redirect lands on a not-live-yet screen.
  • Pages hidden from search engines: click Turn On so one prospect cannot find another prospect's page in Google.
  • Fallback URL set: optional, see above.
  • Click through every ad preview and confirm each lands on the right company page.
  • Test an unrecognized ad set name by opening the destination address with a made-up value; it should land on the fallback, not on an error.
