Remove a domain

Delete a custom domain from Workspace → Domains with one click, and learn what happens to the campaigns and links that used it.

Remove a custom domain when you no longer want to serve pages from it, or when you want to connect it to a different workspace. You do this from Workspace → Domains, and it takes one click.

Before you start

  • You need the Owner or Admin role.

Remove the domain

  1. Open Workspace → Domains. In the table, find the domain and click the trash icon at the end of its row, under Actions.

  2. The row disappears and a message confirms Domain removed successfully. If it was your only domain, the page shows No custom domains yet again.

What happens to pages on that domain

  • Campaigns that used the domain lose it: their Custom Domain setting is cleared and their published links go back to the genpa.ge address. The pages themselves are not changed.
  • Visitors who open an old link on your domain get a not-found page, because GenPage no longer knows which workspace the domain belongs to. Update any links you have shared.
  • Your A record at the domain provider stays as it is. Delete it there if you no longer need it.

Move a domain to another workspace

A domain can belong to one workspace at a time; while it is connected here, the other workspace sees Domain not available when it tries to add it. Remove it here first, then connect it in the other workspace. It starts as Pending and goes through the DNS check again, even if it was Connected before.
