Alerts
See visitor and form alerts in the Alert Center, and choose under Configure → Alerts who gets them by email or Slack, how often, and with which message.
On this page
GenPage raises an alert when something happens on one of your pages, for example when a lead opens their page or submits a form. Everyone in the workspace can read them in the Alert Center; owners and admins decide under Configure → Alerts who is notified by email or Slack, when, and with which message.
Read alerts
-
Open Optimize → Alerts in the sidebar. The Alert Center lists one row per alert with the lead's name, company, LinkedIn, email, the page link, the landing page, the referrer and when it happened; More opens the details of that visit. Filters narrows the list by landing page, engagement or audience, and Search alerts… finds a lead. Until a page has been visited it reads No alerts yet.

Choose how alerts are delivered
-
Open Configure → Alerts. Under Delivery, switch on Email Notification to get an email for every visitor, and Slack Notification to post to Slack. Slack messages only arrive once the workspace is connected to Slack, see Connect Slack.

Under Notification Rules set who gets alerts and when:
- Alerts Recipients: Send to all workspace members, Send to specific members (then pick them under Select Team Members) or Send to workspace admin only.
- Select Landing Pages: All Landing Pages, or only the pages you tick.
- Sending Schedule: how often notifications go out, Upon trigger, Every hour, Every 4 hours, Daily or Weekly.

Under Message Templates you can change the text that is sent. Slack Message is the message posted to Slack, Email Message holds the Email Subject and Email Body, and Form Submission holds separate Slack and email templates that are used instead of the two above when a visitor submits a form. Type (( or use the Lead Variable and Alert Variable menus to insert values such as the lead's name, company, the landing page link or the time of the visit; in the form templates, ((form_data)) lists every submitted field.

Click Save Settings at the bottom of the form. The message Alert settings saved confirms it.
Keep your own visits out
The Excluded IP Addresses section keeps internal traffic out of analytics and alerts. Click Add My Current IP Address to fill in the address you are browsing from, or type addresses under New Exclusions (Add Row adds more), then click Add IPs. Only IPv4 addresses are accepted. Saved addresses appear under Active Exclusions; the trash icon removes one. This list is saved on its own and does not need Save Settings.
