Read a heatmap

See where visitors click on a landing page, switch between the heatmap and clickmap views, and compare desktop with mobile.

On this page

A heatmap paints every click your visitors made on top of the landing page itself, so you can see what people reach for and what they walk past. Open it from Optimize → Analytics, then Heatmap.

Pick a page

  1. The Heatmap page opens on a card for every landing page in the workspace, whether it has clicks yet or not. Each card carries three figures — hover them for their names: Unique Visitors, Total Clicks and Click Rate. Click a card to open its heatmap.

  2. The page's own address sits above the map, and All Pages takes you back to the grid.

Read it

  • Heatmap blurs the clicks into warm patches. Green is a quiet spot and red is the busiest thing on the page, as the Low → High scale in the corner says. It answers which area draws attention.
  • Clickmap replaces the blur with one dot per cluster of clicks, coloured the same way and labelled with the count once more than one click landed there. It answers exactly what was clicked, and how often.
  • Desktop and Mobile are separate maps, because the two layouts put the same content in different places. The preview is redrawn at phone width when you pick Mobile.
  • Next to the toggles GenPage tells you how many sessions and how many clicks are behind the picture you are looking at.
  • The date button controls the window and starts at Last 30 days.
