My page won't publish

You click Publish in the editor and the page does not go live. When it works, GenPage shows Page design published successfully. with a View button and the toolbar button reads Published. Anything else means one of the checks below stopped it. They are listed from most to least likely, with the exact message each shows.

1. The workspace has no active plan

Publishing is where GenPage asks for a plan. Clicking Publish opens a dialog instead of publishing:

• Choose Your Plan ("Start your 7-day free trial. No charge until it ends.") while the workspace is on its trial. You can close it and keep editing; nothing is published until a plan is chosen.
• Your Trial Has Ended, Choose a Plan to Continue or Your AppSumo Plan Has Ended when the workspace has no plan any more. These dialogs cannot be closed; the only way out is a plan or Sign Out.

Only the workspace Owner sees the dialog and can choose a plan. See Upgrade your plan. If you are a member, ask the owner.

2. Your email address is not verified

GenPage refuses with Verify your email address to publish. Check your inbox for the verification link. and offers a Resend Email button. Open the link in the email, then click Publish again. Google sign-ups are verified from the start. See I didn't get the verification email.

3. The page is in a live experiment

While an Autopilot experiment is running or paused on this page, the toolbar button reads In Experiment and is disabled. Its tooltip says that the experiment is splitting this page's traffic and that publishing would change the champion mid-test. End the experiment first, then publish; pausing it is not enough.

4. Your latest edits are not live

Saving is not publishing. After you edit a published page the button changes from Published back to Publish, and visitors keep seeing the previous version until you click it. If the button says Published, what is live is what you see in the editor.

5. Something went wrong while publishing

Something went wrong while publishing is the message for any other failure. Try again; if it keeps happening, contact support and mention the page.

What does not block publishing

• Credits. Publishing a page design from the editor does not spend credits and is not stopped by an empty balance. Credits are spent when GenPage creates personalized pages for leads, and the You're out of credits dialog says so: published pages stay live.
• A custom domain that is still Pending. The page publishes on its default address regardless. The domain starts serving it only once its status is Connected; see My domain isn't working.
